We want to make it easy and affordable for everyone to be able to have quality portraits of their baby’s first year of life. We want these first precious months of life to be wonderfully captured forever.
We want to make sure that long after they’re grown and gone, (and believe me, it happens SO QUICKLY), you can still enjoy all those wonderful milestones you saw them go through as an infant.
The BABY STEPS Newborn and baby photography program provides you with a session at each of the four major points in your baby’s first year.
Starting with a one to two-hour newborn portrait session, we’ll capture all that’s wonderful about the new member of your family, and we do it in a relaxed, quiet, safe environment that will make it a pleasure for both you and your baby. No waiting in line. No exposure to other possibly sick kids. Easy on mom and dad, easy on the baby. During this session, we tend to focus mostly on the baby, because most moms just aren’t ready to be in photographs yet. Sleep deprivation takes it’s toll, you know.
Then, at four months, we focus on her expanding awareness of the world around her, her smiles and laughs, and her ever growing relationship with you and perhaps her siblings. During this session, we’ll focus on expressions, and especially on the relationship with mom, dad and brothers and sisters, as applicable.
At 8 months, she’s becoming her own little person, and the focus will be on all her new skills; sitting, standing, playing with her favorite toys, her expressions and again on her changing relationship with you.
And at one year, it’s a celebration. It’s a great time to involve the whole family, to capture her new mobility, her new expressiveness, and even let her demolish a birthday cake.
We create these images in our studio, at your home, outdoors, or in whatever locations we decide when we do the design consultations.
We know how busy life gets with a new baby, and it’s so easy to not get around to scheduling individual sessions for your baby. And you’ll regret it forever, because these times go by SO FAST.

The program includes all four sessions, with a 4×5 print of your choice from each, plus a 10% discount on your ala carte orders from each session. Gift prints start at $25.
Remember, these are custom portraits, not mall pictures, and you’ll definitely spend more than you would for the simple snapshots you get at the chain stores. Our typical customer spends $300 to $600 per session.
