There’s Something Pretty Special About Family Portraits at the Beach!

What an amazing area we live in!

We’re an hour from “the city” and all that a major metropolitan area has to offer.

We’re an hour from the mountains, and the fantastic camping and fishing, not to mention the scenic beauty.

We’re an hour from Detroit Lake.  And we’re  two hours from great skiing and snow activities.

But best of all, at least to me,  we’re an hour from the Oregon Beach.

There must be something in the basal portion of our brain that draws us back to the surf, because so many of us head there when we want to go someplace special.  And we’re so fortunate that all the Oregon beaches belong to the public, so we can all enjoy them freely.

When my wife and I want to get away for a day, our first thought is always “let’s go to the coast”.  Sometimes we do nothing but sit and watch the surf, or walk along the beach.  Sometimes we simply drive down highway 101.

That’s why the beach makes the perfect setting for family portraits for so many of our clients.  It’s a very special place to them, and in part defines us as Oregonians.

We can photograph your family at the beach any time.  We’ve even done portraits on the beach in November.  But we have a number of days each year when we schedule beach portraits, and we’ll be there throughout the day or even throughout the weeken
